Making the decision to have an elective procedure takes a good deal of consideration on your part, and we respect that. Our staff will work with you to ensure a comfortable and informative visit as you discuss surgical goals with Dr. Grossman or
Dr. Capraro.
A typical consultation begins, as any good doctor's visit should, by filling out some paperwork. You may choose to fill these forms out ahead of time by using the forms mailed to you in a pre-consultation packet.
Then, we will ask you to accompany one of our photo specialists to our photo lab to take some "before" pictures for your chart. These are extremely helpful for the surgeons to refer back to in assessing your individual case. The pictures will also give you a basis for comparison with your finished results.

Then it is time to move into one of our private consultation rooms to view an information video about your requested procedure. It will be shown to give you some basic background information. The video will help bring to the surface some questions you would like the doctor to address during your consultation.
Your surgeon will come into the room to chat with you about your expectations and after a brief examination, will work with you to decide the best course of action that will meet your aesthetic goals.
After that, you will meet with one of our surgical coordinators to go over the financial aspects of the surgery, as well as presenting various payment options. Some patients choose to schedule their surgery at this time; others prefer to think about it for a while.
Plan to be in our office for about 2 hours, perhaps more, depending on how many procedures you are interested in discussing with our surgeons. Blocking out enough time in your day is very important. You do not want to feel anxious in the consultation or be in a hurry to leave.
