Philippe Angelo Capraro, MD Board certified aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon Philippe Angelo Capraro, MD, was invited to join Grossman Plastic Surgery at Rose Medical Center in Denver after completing fellowship training in aesthetic plastic surgery under the clinic's director, John A. Grossman, MD. A graduate of Catholic University of America, Dr. Capraro received his Masters degree in physiology from Georgetown University and earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine.

After completing postgraduate training in general surgery at Easton Hospital in Easton, Pennsylvania and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Dr. Capraro received specialized fellowship training in breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery at the Hand and Plastic Surgery Centre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was there that he learned the SPAIR technique, a procedure which allows the breast reduction to be performed in such a way as to minimize skin scarring and maximize the overall cosmetic results.

Dr. Capraro has written and lectured extensively on breast reduction and reconstructive surgery. He recently presented four lectures in March 2000 at the prestigious National Venezuelan Congress of Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Maxillofacial Surgery in Caracas, Venezuela. Additionally, he was asked to perform a live surgical demonstration of the SPAIR technique at the Venezuelan meeting.
