Every patient is unique, and so is every liposuction procedure. As such, it’s impossible to say for sure how long your recovery from your liposuction procedure will be. However, you should know that most Denver-area residents are able to return to work within a week of undergoing the procedure.
Recovery time is among the most common liposuction questions we hear from our patients. And we understand you want to return to your full range of activities as soon as possible. However, it’s important you follow your doctor’s instructions and take the time to heal properly.
Fortunately, most patients are able to resume a full schedule of activities, including exercise, shortly after returning to work.
Again, the precise length of your recovery time will be determined by the amount of fat removed and the unique nature of your body’s healing process. However, liposuction has an excellent track record for safe, efficient and comfortable recovery.
You should expect some bruising and swelling after the procedure. While the bruising will quickly fade, the swelling will likely linger for some time. This is normal and not indicative of a larger issue.
