The board-certified Denver plastic surgeons at Grossman Plastic Surgery know that every patient we see is entirely unique. Due to differences in weight, size, and other physical features, we are pleased to offer three tummy tuck options to meet the needs of every patient we see.
Standard Tummy Tuck
A standard tummy tuck will require two incisions: one from hip to hip in the bikini area, and one around the bellybutton. Through these incisions, fat is removed, muscles are tightened, and excess skin is removed to provide you with a firm and slim physique.
Modified Tummy Tuck
If you do not have enough loose skin in the bellybutton or pubic region for a standard tummy tuck, Dr. Grossman or Dr. Capraro may recommend a modified tummy tuck. This is the most extensive tummy tuck procedure and includes moving the bellybutton down about one inch. Due to this, a modified tummy tuck will result in a longer, more noticeable scar, but still provides amazing results.
Mini Tummy Tuck
A mini tummy tuck requires only one incision and is best for people who only require tightening of the lower abdominal muscles. With a mini tummy tuck, a small incision is made in the pubic area where scars will naturally be hidden in the folds of your skin. This is the least invasive tummy tuck method, but also produces the least significant results.
The type of tummy tuck you require will be based on your anatomy and final aesthetic desires.
